Ever wondered how those detailed aerial maps and 3D site models are created?

Often the answer is photogrammetry, which is a way of turning digital photographs into accurate, measurable data, used across construction, planning and engineering projects.

Why does it matter?

✅ It captures large areas quickly
✅ It can be done safely without difficult site access
✅ It produces clear, visual data you can actually use

In our latest blog, we explain what photogrammetry is and why it’s becoming so widely used.

We know how devastating equipment theft can be for survey businesses. That’s why we’ve been working closely with the National Construction and Agriculture Theft Team (NCATT), a specialist police unit tackling organised equipment theft across the UK and beyond.

There’s encouraging progress, including record recoveries and arrests. Demand for stolen equipment remains high and there’s more to do.

✅ Reporting thefts properly and quickly can make a real difference.

Find out what to do if your equipment is stolen and how NCATT is supporting our industry:

We understand the real impact that the theft of geospatial surveying equipment has on our members' businesses.
