🏡 Selling a Help to Buy property? Don’t forget the valuation!
If your home was purchased using the Help to Buy Equity Loan, you’ll need an independent RICS valuation before you can sell. This valuation confirms the current market value of your property and determines how much of the equity loan needs to be repaid.
The valuation must be carried out by a RICS registered surveyor and is typically valid for 3 months. It’s an important step in the process and your solicitor and the Help to Buy administrators will require it before the sale can complete.
If you’re thinking of selling or already going through the process and need a Help to Buy valuation, feel free to get in touch – we would be happy to help guide you through the process.
