Or the delights of historic Blaenau Festiniog, the old slate-mining town with its iconic railway. On the coast westwards is beautiful Anglesey. To the east lie delightful beaches with a view beyond of Liverpool, far off over the border into England but, on a clear day, as though you could reach out and touch the Albert Docks as the golden sands crunch beneath your feet.
