A small but interesting project for us.
We were called by the landlord to the industrial unit where a lorry had reversed into the building.
The impact was such that the concrete lintel above the door had shifted completely. The roof purlins were loading onto this wall, so we needed to completely support the roof with a designed scaffold to enable us to deconstruct the corner of the building. Our structural engineer confirmed that whilst the lintel had shifted, it was still viable, this meant we were able to support the lintel throughout the duration of the works and reposition it back onto the walls once rebuilt.
The loading door had to be condemned due to the impact, We removed the loading door and replaced it with new.
All works were certified by building control.
