Studio HIVE is a team of experienced development entrepreneurs from professional property and construction backgrounds including surveyors, architects, planners, project and development managers to sustainability and building experts. Our track-record includes the delivery of landmark projects s

uch as the Royal William Yard Plymouth, Seven Acres Cambridge, Lakeshore Bristol and The Point Bristol - all of which are award winning projects. Most recently the principal house on Seven Acres won the ‘What House Awards 2013 Gold Award – Best House’ the ‘Blue Ribbon Awards – Ideal Home of the year 2013’ and the ‘London Evening Standard – Eco Living Award’

The majority of the Studio Hive team have worked together for over 10 years either at Skanska Residential Development, Urban Splash or Crest Homes. This provides us and our partners with a significant depth of experience and a cohesive team which generates a great work ethic when applied to any project. At Studio HIVE our team has experience in managing and delivering complex commercial, residential, mixed-use buildings and estates. We use our experience to enhance and maximise the potential of the clients' assets whilst minimising the costs and providing efficient management regimes and identifying suitable exit strategies. At Studio HIVE our team all understand the benefits of incorporating art and design into our life and how stimulating this can be. Studio HIVE is proud to be playing a central role in Bristol’s biggest brownfield regeneration project at Silverthorne Lane, in the heart of the city’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone.

So we’re looking forward to joining friends and colleagues to hear about the latest developments on site at UKREiiF in Leeds on Wednesday, 20th May.

The session – Bristol Temple Quarter – Building a Global Innovation District – will be chaired by StephenPeacock, CEO of West of England Combined Authority

On the speakers’ panel will be Lyn Garner, chair of Bristol Temple Quarter , Tom Jackson, development director of Muse, Judith Squires, deputy vice-chancellor of University of Bristol and Tony Dyer, leader of Bristol City Council.

The regeneration of Silverthorne Lane is gathering pace, with the potential to become “Bristol’s King’s Cross.”

StudioHIVE is delivering key elements of the £500m transformation of this 12-acre brownfield site in the heart of Bristol’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone, helping unlock a previously inaccessible part of the city and shape a vibrant new urban quarter.

The wider scheme will bring new homes, workspace, education facilities including Oasis Academy Temple Quarter, and public realm improvements alongside academic space for the University of Bristol.

A great evening of discussion at the BCO’s inaugural Office Outlook Series in Bristol, where our Managing Director, Jason Collard, joined fellow panellists to explore the evolving outlook for the office sector.

With insights spanning ESG, development viability, rental growth and occupier expectations, the session offered a valuable opportunity to exchange perspectives with professionals from across the region and reflect on what’s next for the workplace and wider built environment.

A key theme from the discussion was that while the environmental and governance aspects of ESG are now expected as standard, the social value of office space is becoming increasingly important. As people return to the workplace, there is a growing demand for offices that offer more than just desks. They want collaborative working spaces, quiet zones and lounge areas that support connection, wellbeing and meaningful engagement throughout the working day.

Thank you to the BCO, BLOCK and CoStar for hosting and to chairs Eric Chong and Samantha McClary for leading engaging and thought-provoking discussions.

The StudioHIVE team was out in force in Weston-super-Mare to break the first ground on our latest project - the new health centre and GP surgery at Weston-super-Mare RFC.

We were joined by representatives from RED Construction Group, which is delivering the project, together with North Somerset Council, the NHS and the rugby club.

Once it is complete next year the new health centre in Sunnyside Road North will provide facilities for up to 12,500 people.

The wider masterplan for the £15m project includes the provision of around 200 new homes and a site earmarked for a new primary school, to be provided by the council.

A big thank you to TheBusinessDesk and to everyone who joined us at The River Grille last Thursday for the South West Property Lunch.

It was a pleasure for our Managing Director, Jason Collard, and Development Director, James Howard, to share insights into StudioHIVE’s growing portfolio, including Plot 4 and Timber Yard, and to discuss how these projects are contributing to the transformation of the city as part of the broader Bristol Temple Quarter regeneration.

The discussion around placemaking, heritage-led regeneration, and the long-term collaboration required to unlock complex urban sites was especially encouraging, and it was great to engage with so many professionals shaping the future of the region.

Developed by Kubiak and Empica to support prospective students and partners ahead of the 2026 academic year, the new site offers a full overview of the project, including building information, room types, amenities, and wider updates from the Silverthorne Lane regeneration area where Timber Yard plays a central role.

With construction progressing steadily, the website launch represents an important step in preparing for the scheme’s opening and increasing visibility ahead of the 2026 student intake.
