Well it wasn't a Bank Holiday for sitting in the garden but it could be the last where you can enjoy the peace, quiet and fresh air. Please keep sending your objections to Wrexham planning ref P/2026/0075 and remember to copy in your local MP and Councillors! Andrew Ranger - MP for Wrexham and Bronington Community Council

Popping up on the telegraph poles!

Great to see so many posters going up over the weekend one has been spotted on the road to Whixall Moss it really shows that the community is against Veolia’s plans. Keep sending in your objections to Wrexham Council with the ref P/2026/0075 and copy it to your local Councillor (Wrexham and Shropshire).

What a great turn out last night especially when we are in peak holiday season. Ben gave a informative talk on how the planning application process works and what we might expect to happen in the coming months. He also showed the differences in the two existing Veolia IVC and the one proposed at Fenns Bank, it is very worrying what the differences are. Loads of questions were asked some answered by Ben and some from the informative audience which will appear on the website in due course. Watch out for the banners appearing around the community very soon. You may already have seen small A4 posters on telephone poles and gates and those at the meeting are now sporting a snazzy new badge. This is only a short update more in depth information can be found on the BAWF website. Let’s keep this momentum going and hopefully we can get this application thrown into the bin for good and not even recycled. Keep sending objections Wrexham Council planning even if you already have. its important to still object to the amended plans that Axis submitted ref P/2026/0075.

Sorry for the silence of recent. Things have still been happening behind the scenes. NRW & NRE have opposed the application. This is good news as the mosses need protecting and was one of the main concerns.
We have spoken to Wrexham County Borough Council and your objections can still go in. They have estimated August maybe September before it goes to the board. So if you haven't written in yet you still can. Reference P/2026/0075.
Also on Thursday 4th June Ben Martin will be available from 1pm to 3pm and 6pm to 8pm in the community room to help answer any question or help with any responses.
Updates will start to appear on the website, documents will be uploaded as well.
Keep 👀 open for more updates.
