At Hemsby Lifeboat, weโre proud to serve our community โ but weโre equally proud and incredibly grateful when others step forward to support us in return.
Weโd like to offer our sincere thanks to Lodge Park Homes, the team behind the new development on the old Pontins site. Whatever your views on the project, thereโs no denying that Lodge Park Homes have been consistently supportive of our efforts to maintain and protect the beach access at Hemsby Gap โ a vital route for both our Lifeboat operations and the local community.
Every time our crew has stepped in to repair or maintain the entrance, Lodge Park Homes have loaned plant equipment completely free of charge, asking for nothing in return. This kind of unselfish, practical support has saved Hemsby Independent Lifeboat a significant amount of money โ and more importantly, it has helped keep the Gap open.
Without their help, the beach access point might no longer be viable โ not just for launching the Lifeboat, but also for locals, tourists, and local businesses who rely on it daily.
