Big weekend in Kielder 4th to 6th September, including reopening Kielder Castle. !😀😀
New date for 2026 Kielder Vintage & Classic Vehicle Show
SUNDAY 6th September 10am - 4pm
To tie in with a weekend of celebrations to commemorate 100 years of Kielder Forest the event is moving for the 1st time in nearly 20 years from May to September.
Alex MacLennan Nortumberland's Recreation, Public Affairs Manager from Forestry England explains more,
"We met earlier today 28th January with Wesley Turnbull who helps pull the event together with volunteers and agreed to move the annual Vintage & Classic Vehicle Show to September to make the weekend something special for everyone coming to Kielder. It also ensures the reopening of Kielder Castle which is being set for Friday 4th September.
This not only ensures the Kielder Castle is fully reopened to the public and cafe reopened but also tie in with a cracking set of public events that weekend in September,
We are planning to also put on a forestry working display at the same time in addition to welcoming everyone to Kielder Castle to see the improvements which will include a lift to the upstairs and new indoor accessible toilets in addition to the enlarged cafe space"
