So this was an interesting project, the customer wanted a bespoke multi use breakfast bar for their flat with limited space.
The brief was to design something creative / unique that would last and have the ability to take it with them to their next property.
I sourced a piece of oak that had been cut / milled many years ago, so was stable and naturally dried.
The piece of wood was so old we actually found a lead bullet in the wood, so you can imagine the history that it could tell.
Taking a section that was wider at the base from the route, then shaping it to the length and width of what the customer required for the space.
It may not always be a breakfast bar, but this piece of furniture will live on to be past down through the generations.
