We’re proud to spotlight Kate Smith, our Head of Property Management, who has been a key part of the Waterfords team for several years.

With 7 years of experience in the estate agency industry, Kate has worked her way up from Lettings Negotiator to her current leadership role through hard work, hands-on knowledge, and a genuine passion for property and people.

Kate’s journey into estate agency began unexpectedly after being posted to Aldershot, where she was introduced to lettings recruitment and stepped into her first role at a small independent agency. From there, she gained invaluable experience across all areas of lettings, from conducting viewings right through to tenancy deposit release—developing a strong instinct for matching the right tenants with the right homes.

She is passionate about building lasting relationships with landlords and understanding every property she manages in detail, helping to create smooth, long-term tenancies that work for everyone involved.

After gaining further experience in a corporate environment, Kate moved into property management, where no two days are ever the same. With a military background and lived experience of moving frequently between homes and countries, she brings a practical, problem-solving mindset to every situation.
