Fridays are often one of our busiest days of the week, with guests heading home, fresh arrivals on their way and plenty happening behind the scenes.

From the final checks to the finishing touches, there's something really satisfying about getting a property ready to welcome its next guests.

And when the views look like this, we can't complain about the workplace!

Dorset does autumn rather well 🍂
Old stone, Virginia creeper starting to turn and that ridiculously lovely October sunshine.

One of those mornings that makes driving around the Dorset countryside for work feel like considerably less of a hardship.

Another lovely 5-star review for one of the properties we manage ⭐️

Of course we love seeing guests enjoying the house itself, but it’s particularly nice when the things happening behind the scenes get a mention too.

⭐️ “Extremely clean, great communication and the perfect setting.”
Zoe also gave 5 stars across the board, with our communication marked as always responsive, proactive, friendly, helpful instructions and local recommendations.

It’s all the little things that add up to a great stay — a beautifully prepared property, straightforward check-in, being there when guests need us and making sure everything runs as it should.

Happy guests. Happy owners. That’s the aim.

A little mention in one of the latest guest reviews for Chalklands that made me smile 😊

“Very comfortable house. Really lovely location with lots to do locally. Very helpful management team too!”

Chalklands is marketed through Boutique Retreats, while we look after the property and guests on the ground and it’s a really good example of how flexible our management can be.

Already have a booking agent you’re happy with? That’s absolutely fine. We can work alongside them, taking care of the property, changeovers, maintenance and guests locally.

Or, if you’d rather hand over the full management of your holiday let, we can do that too.
It doesn’t have to be one size fits all. We can simply fill the gaps you need us to, or take the whole thing off your hands.

And it’s always lovely when the guests notice what we’re doing behind the scenes too 💜

Saturday morning at Chelsea ☕️🥐
I love that this is what the house gets used for.
Everyone around the table, coffee going cold, crumbs absolutely everywhere, someone’s used the jam knife in the butter!

Then comes the important decision… what are we doing today?

Heading down to the coast for a day at the beach, or pulling on some boots, exploring the Dorset countryside and finding a lovely pub for lunch?
No rushing. Just everyone together, a whole Saturday ahead and plenty of time to decide.

This is exactly what I want Chelsea Cottage to be. A house full of people making memories together 🤍

One of the things I’ll never get tired of about working around Dorset is getting views like this in between all the considerably less photogenic parts of running holiday lets 😂

It’s been another busy week behind the scenes at KTM, with bookings, properties, new enquiries and lots of exciting things starting to come together.
We’ve also recently introduced our new hosting-only service, for owners who are happy managing their property on the ground but would quite happily hand over the bookings, guest messages and hosting side of things!
