Joys of being in property, had to go to one of my properties today as the tenants haven't paid rent for 5 months, finally fot them evicted £2,600 down on rent and they left everything there and turned fridge off so when I went in the house, it smelt so bad I nearly 🤮🤮🤮

Today, me and my little apprentice took a trip up north! 🚗
We started off in Darlington, then made our way through Middlesbrough, Stockton, and finally Bishop Auckland. It was a busy day of meeting with contractors and checking on property progress. 🏠
Some of the projects had a few hiccups, but nothing that can't be sorted, and others are right on track!

One of the perks of running my own business is being able to fit work around my lifestyle—and bring my little one along for the ride. It’s so important to show them the dedication and hard work that goes into building a brighter future for them! 🌟

Feeling a bit frustrated today😏 as I navigate some challenges with one of my rental properties. After realising my previous letting agents weren't managing it well—like failing to notify me when tenants left and letting the property sit vacant for two months—I decided it was time for a change.

I’ve now brought in a new letting agent, who recently inspected the property. Unfortunately, the news wasn’t great: it’s in poor condition and needs extensive repairs, new flooring, and even new furniture. Given that I only purchased this place at the beginning of last year and had already invested a lot into it, this is disheartening.

This experience has highlighted one of the downsides of owning property outside my area. Trusting letting agents who excel in sales but fall short in delivery can lead to situations like this. Thankfully, the new agents are committed to helping me turn things around, and I’m relieved they won’t let the property be rented out in its current state, which doesn’t align with my values.

Here's to learning from these tough lessons and hoping for a brighter end to the week! 💪✨

Hey everyone! 👋

One of the tougher aspects of being in the property business is what I like to call “freeze mode.” It’s that frustrating time when you feel like you’re waiting in limbo—unable to tick off tasks or hit those goals because so much is out of your control.

Right now, many of us are feeling this: waiting for legal documents to clear, chasing letting agents for updates, or hoping for that crucial offer on a property. We send emails, make calls, and sometimes it feels like we’re shouting into the void. Plus, project managers can be elusive when you have important questions that need answers.

It’s not an easy industry, and the frustration can be real. But remember, every challenge is a step toward success. All the hard work we put in will eventually pay off, and there’s a positive ending waiting for us on the other side. 💪✨
