👻 Ghosts have arrived in York! 👻

Something spooky is stirring in the gardens… Ghost in the Gardens begins this Saturday, 19th September, and runs all the way through to 2nd November.

We’ve already spotted our first ghost from the Chapter House dining room window 👀 and we can’t wait to discover the rest over the coming weeks!

Something rather special is happening today…

The Moon will pass in front of the Sun, creating a spectacular solar eclipse and York is a pretty wonderful place to experience it.

The eclipse will begin around 6:12pm, reaching its maximum at approximately 7:16pm, when around 92% of the Sun will be covered.

With York’s historic skyline, beautiful architecture and plenty of open spaces to take in the evening sky, it could be a memorable time to simply slow down, look up and enjoy something a little extraordinary.

If you’re visiting York don’t miss the chance to experience this rare celestial event.
Just remember: never look directly at the Sun without proper solar viewing protection.
