🔨 A little something new from The York Van Man! 🔨
As many of you know, I’ve been running The York Van Man for a while now and have met and helped loads of great people along the way.
I’ve decided to branch out and put my practical skills to good use with my new page — York Handyman Services 🛠️
I’ll be taking on all sorts of jobs including flat-pack assembly, TV mounting, repairs, garden jobs and general jobs around the home.
The York Van Man isn’t going anywhere 🚐 — this is simply another service I’m adding alongside it.

2:30am starts, London sunrises & tricky deliveries 🌅🚛
Set off from York at 2:30am for a long but productive day down south, completing three trade drops in:
📍 Greenwich
📍 Hampton – this one was interesting! The delivery needed to go onto an island in the Thames, so the customer came over the footbridge in a tiny Rascal van to take it the final stretch.
📍 Woking
All deliveries were for Dowson Joinery Limited A top quality company i've worked with before. Always a pleasure to work with.
Back home in York by 3pm, another solid day done.

🐎 Not your average move! 🚚
Before Christmas I completed a full house move that included safely transporting this rather impressive horse statue – proof that no item is too awkward when it’s planned and handled properly.
And just last weekend, I was back on the road with a house move from York to London, all completed smoothly and on schedule.

🚚 Job Completed – No Lift, No Problem!
This wasn’t an easy one — we had to travel 8km just to load the van because the lift was out of order! Despite the extra effort, everything was handled smoothly and on time.
At The York Van Man, we’re used to tackling challenges big or small — always making sure your move goes as planned.

Two jobs to finish the week off.

Newcastle on Thursday to transport some plants for D-Tail Plants. A wonderful wholesale nursery based in York with a great friendly team.

Central London yesterday to drop off a very expensive piece of lab equipment and back home to york before 2pm.

Today's mission 🚛🏠🗺☀️📦🍽

A move from Malton to Swanage. We loaded up yesterday afternoon so we could get on the road this morning at 3:45am to arrive at the delivery address in good time. Back in York for 18:15 for a well earned feed ready for tomorrow's moves. The first being on the 3rd floor so it will definitely be leg day tomorrow ✌🏻

Super early start yesterday. Three drops to complete across London for Dowson Joinery Limited. Managed to get back and do another 2 jobs across York all before tea time 🌅🚛📦
