Another days of topping last week after some reseed and fertiliser 🌱

For those who have tractor access we can also now offer direct drilling with a tractor meaning the seed goes straight into the soil.
We also can now offer some other services on a tractor too depending on the access and the job location! 🚜

A dose of magnesium and a more specific fertiliser for this job following a soil sample 🌱

Usually we use a standard 20-10-10 (N-P-K) fertiliser, unless requested otherwise, so a soil sample means we can choose a different coverage depending on what’s required to best suit the soil and have the best growth results!

This paddock has been such a great project for us to get it back looking great!
We’ve harrowed and rolled, sprayed (no picture), fertilised and topped this field ready for a summer of grazing.
It’s been great to see every stage and get it really looking so much better after not being used for a while!

This is a customer who’s supported us right from the start and we have harrowed, rolled, sprayed and fertilised here and it really is looking great!

Our community is a big thing to us and we really love where we live so to be asked to care for Melbourne playing fields was such a proud moment!

Here we were this week spraying later on so it would all be ready for everyone to carry on using such a great space the next day!
This is the first step to maintain and improve the fields and we can’t wait to come back…

What a lovely view 🌞

It always makes the job even more enjoyable when you’re working in such beautiful locations!
A great few days we’ve spent here spraying for a farmer, it’s been a lovely week for it!

Spraying should be done when it’s dry and no rain is forecast, sometimes in the depths of summer it can be too hot to spray but these days aren’t too often and you can always spray at morning or night to dodge the hottest temperatures!

Once we’d done here we rushed home to grade our own arena ready for our villages open gardens tomorrow, see if you can spot us if you’re there!

We treated ourselves! 🐌

Last week we bought a new spreader. This will be used to spread seed, fertiliser and slug pellets. It can cover anywhere from 4-30 meters in just one pass which minimises tracks made in the field which, in turn, minimises compaction.
It can also hold 70 litres of product meaning less time spent stopping to fill up with product again.

We can’t wait to get it out and doing more work!

A 7 day transformation 🌿

Exactly 7 days ago today we took a few hours to pay some attention to our own paddocks.
All we did was harrowed and then rolled after and what a difference it’s made in such a short amount of time! Our grass is greener and it’s encouraged some growth and cover.
We can’t wait to spray off the weeds and get some fertiliser down so we can see the difference again!
