For this project, the solution is a bespoke residential annexe designed to work within the Caravan Act - creating valuable additional space without compromising the character of the existing home or its setting!

A client brief translated into an architectural design.

A new side to what we do - creating distinctive guest accommodation for landowners and hospitality operators.

From our own hospitality cabin, which can be tailored to individual sites and settings, to completely bespoke buildings developed around a brief.

Our approach remains the same: considered design, quality materials and thoughtful construction.

Our first dedicated hospitality cabin is taking shape now — and there's plenty more we'll be sharing as it develops.

Simple structure. Thoughtful design.

This is one of our concepts we’ve been working on recently —

It's not overly complex in its construction, but carefully considered.

Two-toned cladding, clean lines, and subtle overhangs can completely change how a home feels.

You don’t always need to overcomplicate things to create something beautiful.

One of the things we love most about what we do is designing interiors that reflect the people who will use the space.

Every Happynest home is purpose-built and designed around the people who’ll live in it:

🔥 Log burner or electric fire in a SIPs lodge? Here’s what matters.

Fires add warmth and atmosphere — but in modern, airtight SIPs lodges, heat and air need to be carefully balanced.

Without the right design, wood-burning stoves can lead to overheating, poor air quality, and discomfort. Airtight homes don’t “self-ventilate” like older buildings.

The good news?
✨ Electric fireplaces can create just as lovely an atmosphere, without the challenges of combustion, flues, or extra air supply - especially in airtight cabins.

And if a real fire is your dream? That’s absolutely possible too.

We design for it properly - with room-sealed stoves, correct ventilation, and safe heat control.

Whatever you choose, we’ll make sure it’s done right.
