Challenges

The difficulties you experience in life are challenges for you to overcome or a means by which the Ancestors are using to direct you.

Consider the world we live in as a Chessboard, some of us are pawn, others are rooks, knights bishops, kings and queens. Some of us can play multiple roles throughout or lives. The rules may not be the same but the premise is. But as with the game the majority of us are pawns, easily manipulated and moved around at the will of the players.

Who are the players? They are our Ancestors. Remember just as you have Ancestors so do the enemy.

As I mentioned before some of us play multiple roles, our status changes as we move through life. The direction in which our status goes depends on how we accomplish our challenges. The majority however are ment to remain stagnant, never changing roles as they are just ment to be extras like in a movie set. As the saying goes 'the world is stage and everyone has their part'.

Every playing piece has its weaknesses and strengths, with the most important piece - the king - being one of the most vulnerable. Take note, in life the more important you are the more challenges you will face; even when to everyone else you look like a nobody. The other pieces are ment to support you or obstruct you.

Keep in mind the difficulties and frequency of the challenges can indicate past life Karmas playing out. Many of the challenges we face are ment to build character; mold us into stronger beings who will not faulter when faced with the challenges that come with success. As we would have built a firm foundation, surrounded by people who support us. Your success will become their success as well, as they played their part to get you there.

No matter your role, move with integrity. Remember the laws of Karma are at play. There are lessens for everyone to learn, and I am sure you don't want to keep on repeating them. Just as how a school may make you repeat a grade because you didn't meet the academic requirements, it the same with life. Failed lessens will be repeated wether in this life or the next.

Dzogbe - Unnatural Death

When I started this blog, I had written a post titled, I Hear Voices, I deleted it because I worried that people would think I was crazy. But now that I have a better understanding of what I am dealing with I have decided it time to share without concern for what others may think, as I know there are others out there who are struggling the same way I was. I will also repost I Hear Voices for those of you who care to read it.

This post is very personal for me. There are many people in the world who think they are going crazy and may have even been diagnosed with a mental disorder; because they hear voices or do things while having no control of their actions. Schizophrenia, Psychosis, Dissociative Identity disorder and sleepwalking are a few of the disorders that people can be diagnosed with when a person has Dzogbe associated with them.

Dzogbe can be defined as an unnatural death. If persons die before their appointed time regardless of how they die, death by drowning, murder, accident, etc.; they become Dzogbe and their souls are unable to reincarnate. Figuratively speaking they are stuck in limbo. In order to move on, a portal has to be opened for them to return to the place where they can be reborn. For this portal to be opened a family member has to be the one to do it.

These spirits in a sense haunt the person assigned to open the portal for them. The way it was explained to me, is that they become one entity called Dzogbe, and the family member responsible becomes a Dzogbeshe.

Hearing voices alone does not qualify you as a Dzogbeshe. To know for sure a consultation must be done. Other indications include actions that demonstrate the personality of another person, having hallucinations and feeling movements around or uncontrolled body movements. These body movements can be reminiscent of someone going into a trance.

If no action is taken - doing the necessary rituals - these individuals often give up on life and commit su***de or end up in a mental institution. Someone with such a heavy responsibility needs to be strong or they will break easily. If the Dzogbeshe dies before opening the portal then the task is inherited by another family member and becomes their burden. Don’t give up if this is you, help is out there.

Are You Properly Initiated?

Have you had an initiation that has brought about no obvious change to you or those who know you? If you are following the rules, why are you not seeing results? Have you checked to see if it was successful? If it wasn't there are several reasons this could have happened:

1. Your initiation was performed by an unqualified person. This person was not an initiate or was of the wrong s*x, or the person simply does not know the proper way to complete an initiation. Some initialations require someone of the opposite s*x to perform them.
2. The person was qualified but their power was diminished - There are so many reasons this could have happened. Some priests and priestesses are due for retirement but for some reason, they refuse to retire or cannot retire.
3. You underwent a general ritual and did not consult about what specifically was needed for you.
4. The hands of someone who contributed to your ritual were tainted.
5. Your ritual was deliberately sabotaged.

You may have done several consultations after and nothing came up. Sometimes the revelation of certain things is on divine timing, or you just were not asking the right questions. Whatever the reason may be if months have passed and you have not seen any of the results you were told to expect after your initiation; you must take action to rectify the situation or frustration from lack of results may just be the beginning of your problems.

Many of us get initiated not just because it was required, but also to find life solutions. Life solutions aren't quick fixes, especially if you are plagued by jealousy. Solutions can take time especially if you seek them in your latter years. But when a person gets initiated they should not have to wait long to see results that the initiation should bring about.

Why Did The Serpent Tempt Eve?

According to the story in Genesis 3, the Serpent successfully tempted Eve into eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Why did he do this? Why was the tree there? And what is the relationship between the Serpent and Eve?

The Serpent in the Eʋeo culture is known as Voduda and is revered by highly spiritual people. Voduda is a deity that travels freely anywhere and is a spiritual spouse to many. This deity in Genesis 3 was Eve's spiritual spouse; this is why he spoke to her and not Adam. Now that the relationship between Eve and the Serpent has been established, the purpose of the tree now comes into question.

God declared that the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was not to be eaten from and if they did eat from it they would die; so then why did God create it? I have come to the conclusion that the fruit of the tree was meant to be eaten. To understand why you must understand the
purpose of life.

We are spiritual beings having a physical experience; this is a statement I heard many years ago but did not understand until recently. We all came into this world from the spiritual world through our mother's womb. Before we came we were assigned a mission which we agreed to.
Our Se is the one to whom we made this promise, along with a few witnesses. Whether or not we have accomplished our mission we will eventually return to the spiritual realm. In order to return, we must die.

With this understanding in mind, the reason for the tree becomes apparent. A person is not ment to live forever. The tree was there to ensure that those created in God's image could return to the spiritual world. Hence why the Serpent tempted Eve.

What do you also know about Salah

Salah

As I learn more about Eʋeo spiritual practices the more I see similarities to the world religions. I have heard it said that these religions copied or learned from the Eʋeo.

Some of the deity celebrations that I have been learning about recently are reminiscent of the Muslim faith, in particular those related to the Kola deities. Just last week my husband attended a program called Salah.

Depending on the group, Salah is an annual celebration at which the members of a traditional shrine gather to pray according to the customs of the ancient Kola deities. The people wearing white, gather early in the morning and pray facing the sunrise, and again later, facing the sunset. They wear white to signify cleanliness and victory.

Why Afa Initiation Is Important.

NOTE: This post will not discuss the details of Afa/Ifa; only why it should be done.

Afa is the deity known as the spokesperson of the gods. One oral story says that he conspired to silence the other deities to become their spokesperson in order to protect himself. Whether this is true or not, the fact still remains that for almost everything spiritual, an Afa consultation must be done.

Afa (also known as Ifa) consultations are an integral part of spirituality among many ethnic groups in Africa and around the world. The name varies by location and ethnic group but it remains the same, divination for spiritual guidance.

An initiate of Afa who does consultations for others is called a Bokor. To become a Bokor takes months of training, maybe even longer. However, a person can be initiated within a few days for personal use only. These individuals usually wear a white cloth around the waist at traditional functions to identify themselves as an Afa/Ifa initiate.

One of the most important reasons for becoming an initiate is to find out your purpose in life and the career path you should take. The career Afa reveals to you will not only be satisfying, as you will be good at it, but more often it is also lucrative. This does not mean you will be rich, but most definitely you will be well off. Another important thing Afa reveals is what you should avoid for a long healthy life.

It is best to do the Afa initiation when children are young to give them the best chance in life. Often, we experience setbacks because we are on the wrong life path. Afa can help to guide us. Do not hesitate to utilize the tools the Ancestors left for us.
