Charles Gomez and Nicholas Gomez were in the Supreme Court this week representing VSB Limited in its constitutional claim against the Government of Gibraltar and others.

Representing the Government of Gibraltar were Lord David Pannick KC, Jason Pobjoy KC of Blackstone Chambers, instructed by TSN lawyers Owen Smith and Luke Stagnetto.

VSB challenged the decision to terminate its lease following a certificate issued under section 66 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1983.

Charles Gomez argued that the section 66 provision was unconstitutional in that inter alia, it abolished VSB's rights to an extended term of tenancy and a right to alternative accommodation at the new redeveloped stadium.

Judgment is expected before the end of August.
