I encourage viewers to watch my interview with Eye Africa Africa TV this evening. I terminated the interview at some point after enduring almost an hour of sustained contempt. As a result few people wrongly attributed the reason to the Semlex question. Let me remind them again: I was absolutely cleared by the Gambia Government of not doing anything wrong or illegal, through Cabinet via Ministry of Justice. I did NOT award any contract to Semlex. That wasn't enough for my political enemies. They Petitioned the Gambian Parliament to conduct independent parliamentary investigations into the matter. After two years of exhaustive investigation by the National Assembly, I was completely cleared again. When Hon. Halifa Sallah presented the Report of the investigation before the full House of parliament, my integrity was further consolidated. Those who are not satisfied by this, can demand further investigation by the United Nations Security Council, ECOWAS or the African Union. Each investigation will further prove me as a Leader of honesty and integrity in public office.
I terminated the interview because I felt being disrespected and treated with contempt by the interviewer. It is a known fact that I have never ran away from the media or failed to answer a question. Yet, I will NOT permit any person to treat me with contempt simply because I am a public figure. Everyone, whether politician or not, has a right to human dignity, and fair hearing, including me. You can't ask a question and condition me to give you the answer you want. Yours is to ask and mine to answer. Let the public decide. Lastly granting an interview is not the right of a journalist. It's my choice to grant or not. If I do, be professional and allow me the opportunity to respond without putting words into my mouth or extracting from me a preconceived answer in your mind. I will not permit anyone to use a media interview as pretext to advance an evil hidden agenda against me. And am not inputting this to any specific journalist.

Does President Barrow Cares About Kombo Natives & Residents????

President Barrow met with Chiefs and Alkalos of Kombo, and he deliberately ignored to address the pressing and most urgent issues which are plaguing the daily lives of the people living in Kombo.

Barrow Didn't Talk About :

● 1— Land Issues and the encroachment of the farm lands, women gardens and TDA by greedy investors who got government blessings for such actions

● 2- Exploitation Of Maritime Resources by foreign forces which is taking in its tool on the living standard and the livelihoods of people of Kombo.

● 3- Shortage Of Fish and the environmental degradation caused by fish meal factories in many costal areas

● 4- Environmental Concerns generated by sand mining which is causing havoc to the women of Kombo

● 5- Instability and Security concerns as crimes rates continue to increase in many Kombo communities

● 6- Economic Difficulties many families are experiencing due to high costs of living and rise in prices of basic commodities.

● 7- Deterioration Of Health Services and the rise in maternal death in the major referral hospital in the west coast region.

Instead of addressing these issues which are the concerns of the average Kombokas bother natives and residents, he talked about politics and his vying for next Presidential Elections:

■ 1— He requested Chiefs and Alkalos to be loyal to him and that there tenures are secured as far as they remain loyal to him.

■ 2- He asked Chiefs and Alkalos not to work with his opponents in politics, because chiefs and alkalos are his representatives

■ 3- He promised to organize biggest NPP rally in Westcoast Region which will bring all Chiefs and Alkalos together.

■ 4- He accuses UDP of Profiling Tribes and migrants

■ 5 - He accused Dr Sadat Jobe for attacking Senegalese through their diplomatic mission in the Gambia

■ 6- He condemned efforts to prevent Non Gambians [Senegalese Especially] to stay out of our Presidential Elections

■ 3 - He Calls UDP's Registration Monitoring Team THUGS, instead of condemning the violent attacks that they met in the hand of people of Kanilai

■ 4 - He questioned is why Mr Darboe organizes Press Conferences like he was not at Pipeline in April 2016

■ 5 - He cautious tribes and migrants not to vote for UDP, as they will not have peace of mind if udp comes to the power.

Apparently Barrow is more concerned about his reelection than the interests and concerns of the people of Kombo.
