Landmark Properties Addresses Recent Claims and Sets the Record Straight
Landmark Properties wishes to address statements recently circulated online regarding a past land transaction involving Mr. Alasan Alex Darboe (https://www.facebook.com/alhassan.darboe.9). As a company founded on transparency, integrity, and ethical operations, it is important that we provide the public with a clear and factual account of the events.
In 2020, Mr. Darboe purchased two plots of land at our Kassa K***a estate, each priced at GMD 80,000. The transaction was completed through a mortgage arrangement, a concession granted because of his personal acquaintance with one of our co-founders. Throughout his payment period, Landmark Properties maintained full documentation and, upon completion of the mortgage, transferred ownership of both plots to him without delay. Members of his family were also taken to the site SEVERAL times for verification and reconfirmation of the land he had acquired.
Several years later, in 2025, Mr. Darboe again contacted Landmark Properties, this time requesting that our team es**rt his Marabout who had travelled from Switzerland to the estate. He indicated his desire to transfer one of the plots to the Marabout in appreciation for significant help he had received from the Marabout. As part of our commitment to customer care, our team facilitated the visit to the land and supported the transfer process without hesitation or inconvenience.
It is important to note that Landmark Properties is a business built entirely on personal investment, dedication, and hard-earned resources. We have never relied on bank loans or external financing. Instead, we prioritize clean, structured, and sustainable growth in an industry where accountability has often been a challenge. This commitment to ethical practice is reflected in our operational systems, which are fully automated through our Omniware software (custom-built by one of our co-owners), ensuring every client’s records, transactions, and communications are properly documented and accessible.
Unfortunately, following the marriage of the company’s co-founders, interactions with Mr. Darboe took an unexpected direction. During the early days of the couple’s honeymoon, he persistently contacted them to request another immediate visit to the land, this time for a handover involving his sister. While Landmark Properties has consistently supported his prior requests, the insistence during such a personal moment was inappropriate and created avoidable tension.
The situation escalated when Mr. Darboe resorted to making public allegations on social media, accompanied by unauthorized use of the owners’ personal photographs, including images from their wedding. This action is not only a breach of privacy but also appears intended to misrepresent our company and the individuals who own it. As a result, Landmark Properties has engaged legal counsel, who are currently reviewing the matter and preparing the appropriate response.
Our decision to issue this statement is not driven by emotion, but by our responsibility to ensure the public receives accurate information grounded in verifiable facts.
