The house is an extremely old one and according to the local people probably dates back to the 16th century. It is a typical cycladic house and has flat roofs/sun terraces in order to capture the rainwater which is directed to a sealed cistern which belongs soley to the house. It has a very large and beautiful shower room/washroom/toilet which was formerley a bread oven. The kitchen is well appointed and has a waist level fireplace which was originally for cooking and is still in use. The main room has many features including a wooden plank floor, a leaded light window and many antique built in features original to the house. The raised original bed is among one of the very fine antique features. The roof is constructed of wood and stone and is a very fine feature of the house. There is a great deal of storage and plenty of lights and sockets, all newly fitted. The house boasts three sun terraces and an enclosed courtyard. The house is constructed of stone with lime rendered walls and has recently been totally renovated to a very high standard by a heritage builder.
