Metaxourgio is just one stop from Omonoia (main connection with the green line) and 3 stops away from Syntagma square (connection with the blue line and tram, and the most central spot in Athens). Larissa Station, the national railway station that connects Athens with the rest of Greece is walking distance as well (or one metro stop). The house is in a residential area, but still one minute's walk from the center's liveliness. Keramikos area, with its trendy restaurants and bars is within walking distance (10-15 mins walking). Monastiraki, Plaka and Psiri can be very easily reached as well (20 mins walking). Plato's academy can be easily reached on foot. Two supermarkets, 2 bakeries and a pharmacy is just around the corner. A flea market takes place in the neighborhood every Wednesday, providing with fresh products in low prices. A lively market area also serves the neighborhood everyday.
