Nel Verde is a new
villa, built onto a hillside, with respect to the local architecture. It combines the traditional style with neoclassical elements, offering all modern amenities. It is built on two levels and it is surrounded by a herb garden with lots of olive trees, lemon trees, orange trees, and cherry trees. It offers absolute privacy, as it is built away from the other nearby houses. Children can play and enjoy the garden without disturbing the neighbors. Each bedroom is cozy and every detail is thought of. They all feature, air conditioning units, a private bathroom, a private terrace and an amazing view to the olive groves of Corfu. There are Plasma TV sets in all three double bedrooms as well as in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped and our guests will find the basic food supplies upon their arrival. The access in the area is possible with all the means of transportation. Buses have a daily schedule and run from and to Corfu Town to the Northwest part of Corfu Island, reaching popular tourist destinations. However, it is advisable to rent a car, as public transportation is not sufficient, especially at weekends and a private car gives you autonomy to visit all the parts of the island. Our property has its private parking area for at least three cars, so our guests can park their cars safely. The airport of Corfu is 20 minutes away and the port of Corfu is 15 minutes away by car. The owners, Angeliki and Lakis, live in the nearby village of Skripero. They will welcome the guests upon their arrival and they will make them feel at home. For bookings longer than a week, the cleaning is offered for free. Should you wish cleaning more often than once a week, it is possible to arrange it for an extra charge. A welcome packet with local products will welcome our guests to make them feel at home immediately. We have our own extra virgin olive oil, made from the olive trees of our property, which we would love you to taste. Neighborhood overview
Nel Verde is located on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Skripero, a village with rich history and culture, in the central part of the Green Corfiot landscape. It is nestled in the idyllic countryside between the East and West coasts of Corfu and surrounded by mountains, olive groves and citrus orchards. In the summer months, there are lots of concerts and cultural activities taking place in the squares of the village. Skripero Village is an ideal destination for nature lovers, as it is really off the beaten track and away from mass tourism. Quiet, peaceful, and friendly people have lived here for centuries. Skripero is far enough out of Corfu Town to be quiet but near enough to be driveable on a daily basis (only 15 minutes away from the city center). Around the house there are extensive tracks and off-road routes, away from road traffic, for walking or cycling with breathtaking view. There are picturesque nearby villages, where you can taste local dishes, traditionally cooked, and live the real Corfiot life, like the village of Doukades, San Marco etc. Getting around
