Some places on Lesvos make you slow down without asking.
Stone courtyards, shaded arcades, enormous clay jars, painted chapels and layers of history quietly sitting side by side.
Today’s little escape: Saint Ignatios Monastery.
A beautiful reminder that there’s much more to this island than beaches.
And yes, absolutely worth leaving Plomari for.
