This morning we had to say goodbye to our beloved Alma forever. 🤍🐾

Alma didn’t have an easy life before she came to us – and the consequences were clearly visible. She was, and hopefully will always be, the only dog we have ever known who never wagged her tail. It was as if she wanted to hide from the world, as though she had never learned that safety and comfort could exist.

With us, she found a quiet, cozy place to rest. A home where she was simply allowed to be. Her food bowl was always full, her water always fresh. And even though she was never the typical, exuberant dog, she showed her gratitude in her own gentle way – through small changes in her behavior, through closeness, through trust.

Last night, her time had come.
15 years on this earth – and we hope with all our hearts that she is finally free and happy now.

Run free, dear Alma.🌈 You were special. Forever in our hearts. 🤍🐾

We celebrated the Feast of Saint Modestos, the Patron Saint of Animals, and had our beloved Bilbo and Merlin blessed 🐾✨
It was a truly beautiful ceremony, and Bilbo and Merlin waited so patiently for their turn. Feeling grateful and full of love 🤍
