Crete comes up more often than any other region in our conversations with buyers, and usually for the reasons in this video.

One thing we would add: Crete is one of the few Greek islands that stays open through the winter. Chania, Rethymno and Heraklion are working cities rather than seasonal resorts, so the bakery, the doctor and the taverna are still there in January. That matters if you plan to spend more than August on the island.

It is also the region our Dutch and German clients ask about most, and our team lives there year round, which makes viewings straightforward to arrange around your trip.
