The Sanctuary NEST - our cosiest room has been revamped with fresh tiled floor, new office desk and chair and the same insanely beautiful views over the largest terrace of the villa with lake and volcano views. You can open up the windows fully to enjoy it fully and make use of the large shared kitchen, living room and dining room. Delighted to be hosting the Maya Abdominal Massage Course again starting September 12th.

This 40+ hr introduction course to Maya Abdominal Massage gives you the training to perform this ancestral healing technique on yourself, deepening the connection to our bodies. It also offers direct contact to the foundation of Maya healing, a space to connect and immerse yourself in this divine art of service so you can then offer it to others, as done by the Maya midwives. Practicing this modality on our own body and then on others.
It is a highly effective healing modality that is used for a wide range of pathologies and brings balance back to the body: physical, emotional and energetic. It is used for men and children as well and specifically for women after giving birth, to help the uterus contract and return back to its original position and size.
The abdomen is our power center. For many women and men, there is trauma stored there and in our whole body. Reconnecting to our body and listening to it allows us to heal. We must reconnect to our uterus! This sacred magical organ in our core.
We will also take a peak into Doña Dominga's life, a local Maya midwife from San Marcos who will share her knowledge with us. She learns through her dreams and direct connection to nature, plants and God and has served her community for over 30 years.
We will use local plants to make a tea for yoni steams and the herbal bath in the "tuj". We will learn to make our own home made heating balm for the massage, using the finest oils to treat our bodies with only the best! Students receive a treatment of three massages during the course, and the last day we receive the massage in a "tuj" ceremony. The tuj is a traditional wet sauna.
