/ Hung Shing Writing Ceremony: A Century of Heritage /

This autumn, Ap Lei Chau's Hung Shing Temple hosted a meaningful cultural event, the "Writing Ceremony." Mr. Ricky Wong, from the Chinese Temples Committee, joined media friends to witness this traditional rite of enlightenment.

Under the eaves of the century-old temple, young students performed the ceremony, paying tribute to Chinese culture and symbolising blessings on their learning journey.

Afterwards, Mr. Wong led the group to the nearby Shui Yuet Kung. The two temples share a deep historical connection, bearing witness to Ap Lei Chau's transformation from a fishing village to today's community.

The event featured a range of primary healthcare service booths, covering family medicine, dentistry, Chinese medicine, community pharmacy, and smoking cessation programs, encouraging employers and employees to sign up on-site and take charge of their health.

#會德豐地產 副主席兼常務董事 #黃光耀 先生MH，日前應邀出席香港大學「房地產及建設系」碩士課程午宴，向60位碩士生發表專題演講，分享數十年來累積的實戰經驗與前瞻視野，為地產界培育新一代人才。

黃先生於午宴上講解如何將ESG理念融入房地產管理，實踐企業社會責任，並分享集團如何透過「古洞北・都會新篇展館」，以共享、共融、共創及以人為本的理念，連結社福界、政府部門及商界力量，攜手推動北部都會區可持續新發展區的建設。

席間，學員對北都新發展區的規劃表現濃厚興趣，午宴後踴躍參與交流，將課堂所學與業界實戰連結起來。學術與實踐並行，正是培育未來人才的最佳方式。

Addressing 60 postgraduate students, he shared decades of hands-on experience and forward-looking insights to help nurture the next generation of property professionals.

At the luncheon, Mr. Wong explained how ESG principles can be integrated into property management to fulfil corporate social responsibility. He also shared how the Group's "Kwu Tung North • Metropolis New Chapter Gallery" brings together the social welfare sector, government, and the business community to advance the sustainable development of the Northern Metropolis through the values of “Co-exist, Co-create, Co-share”.

The students showed strong interest in the new development area, actively engaging in discussion after the luncheon and connecting classroom learning with real-world practice, a perfect example of how academia and practice work hand in hand to shape tomorrow's talent.
