Singapore trip completed. Bucket list checked off.

It is always a pleasure to sit with, dine with and collaborate with banking and advisors. This time Fullerton and Fullerton bay was on my to-stay list. I had the opportunity to stay at Singapore most historic post office conversion.

Staying 3 nights at Fullerton and 2 nights at Fullerton bay, it was truly an outstanding service oriented facility.

It was 8 years ago that I wanted to sit in the lounge (behind me, which was a old ship dock yard) enjoying a afternoon tea. Sadly, they no longer use this area for that but rather turning it into a ballroom. (such a waste)

Bucket list checked off and a few points to note, the high tea in room is just as awesome, in my opinion a good value for money and is served at the lounge of Fullerton Bay

One of my favorite pizza places in Hong Kong. Yes pineapple and ham with loads of cheese.

Pizza shop would be a food and beverage business I could see profitability in. It also meets my criteria of not having a chef and can scale.

Golf is much more than just a sport. To me, it has been a way of meeting and connecting with people.

This year Bank of Singapore has invited me to Shanghai to join their greater China clients to a round of golf at the exclusive Sheshan golf course, considered a top 10 in China and that of the Hsbc Championships.

I was able to extend such exclusive privilege to a few more friends.

The golf was wonderful, the company was amazing and I'm blessed that not only the bank facilities has helped with my investing journey but also that of connection and networking.

What's most important to me?
The answer changed as I aged and my circumstances evolved.

My coach, Mark Anthony asked me this as part of my exercise.

I was working around the clock, taking 4am meetings, 6am due diligence calls, and whatever potential opportunities that came my way.

It seemed to be the right thing to do, but at what consequences and sacrifice?

Have you had times where you fall asleep while playing with your 2 year old? Perhaps zombie out after dinner or be distracted and unfocused?

Want to hear a story?

Today we were on scheduled on a second deep dive call after an initial 10 minute quick pitch with the founder of an "Electric Vehicle" company. They are seeking investment of $4m from our group of investors.

The founder on the call showed up on zoom with a 'off-work, tie undone' while driving. Only when we called it out, he said he would pull over. The lead investor JT Foxx gave the man the most honest feedback to this gentleman and told him that "we feel disrespected" and that "he was unprepared for the meeting". Most investors would just say "we're not interested".

JT did a favor to this man for he could be doing the next 100 meetings not understanding why "he is never successful raising capital"

Of those who tuned in today, were those from USA, Canada, Australia, Europe and SE Asia. This could of been the turning point of "his" business. This group could of bought his company many times over YET he fails to realize that he has missed an opportunity of his lifetime.

A great reminder to take EVERY meeting seriously, for one meeting could change my destiny and Treat people with respect.
