In August 2026, registered shop transactions reached 98 cases, a slight MoM decrease of 1.0%, with a total volume of $800 million. For the first 8 months of the year, total transactions hit 816 cases, up 13.5% YoY, reflecting sustained market activity.
Market Highlights:
🔹 Price & Rental Indices: RVD private retail price and rental indices both saw a marginal MoM drop of 0.2% in June.
🔹 Retail Sales: Value of retail sales in July reached $31.02 billion, up 4.5% YoY. The first 7 months saw an 8.9% YoY increase.
🔹 Visitor Arrivals: June recorded 3.72 million visitors, a 6.9% YoY growth, continuing to support retail and shop leasing demand.
🔹 Notable Transactions: A shop on Cochrane St., Central, was sold for $75 million; a podium mall in Hung Hom was leased for $1 million per month.
