If you golf here, you’ve probably wondered about it. Course maintenance means a lot of upkeep, and on an island this close to the reef, what runs off that land matters.

So while we were out at Northview, standing right where the golf course is going in, that’s the kind of thing I wanted to understand from Marco, the developer behind it. He pointed to the golf courses on the island that aren’t maintained right, and explained that real upkeep comes down to scale and how much green space you’re caring for.

Instead of leaving the runoff to chance, he built his own water treatment company into the project. The wastewater goes through treatment and gets tested biologically on a schedule, not just when someone happens to be checking.
