Planning to bring your pet to Roatan? Here’s what you need to know!✈️

⚠️ Important: The following requirements apply to pets traveling in-cabin (carry-on). Animals traveling as cargo are not permitted. Large dogs may only travel to Honduras if they are registered service animals and are able to fly inside the cabin with you.

📄 Required Documentation:
• Valid health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian (typically within 10 days of travel)
• Proof and valid records of current vaccinations
• Microchip identification (required for both cats and dogs, with matching documentation)
• Export permit and health certificate once you are in Honduras, arranged 10 days prior to your departure.

💉 Vaccination Requirements:
• Rabies vaccine, required for dogs and cats, given at least 30 days before travel.
• FOR DOGS: Standard and core vaccines are needed, given at least 30 days before travel. Distemper, Hepatitis (Adenovirus), Parainfluenza, Parvovirus, and Leptospirosis commonly known as DHPPL.
•FOR CATS: Standard and core vaccines are needed, given at least 30 days before travel. Rhinotracheitis (herpesvirus), Calicivirus, Panleukopenia (distemper), and Chlamydia, plus Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). This is a multi-vaccine, commonly known as HCPCH 2 FelV.
