🐢🛥Sea Turtle Strikes On the Rise - What You Can Do!

Local organizations, including “Save-a-Turtle” are currently reporting a significant increase in sea turtle strikes by boaters.

⚠It’s nesting season, so we have many more turtles out and about right now, particularly close to the surface. If you’ll be on the water soon, please remember that vessel strikes remain one of the biggest threats to our local sea turtle population.

Here is what you need to know to help safeguard our unique and fragile turtle friends:
1️⃣ Slow your roll: Stick to 5–10 knots over shallow flats, reefs, and near harbors.
2️⃣ Appoint a lookout: Keep dedicated eyes on the bow watching for flippers or ripples.
3️⃣ Gear up: Wear polarized shades to spot marine life just below the surface.
4️⃣ Give 'em space: Maintain at least 100 yards of distance (and drop into neutral if they pop up nearby!).
5️⃣ Guard your prop: Consider adding a propeller guard to prevent these critical injuries.

What inspires someone to become a professional mermaid? 🧜🏼‍♀️
For Brandee Anthony from Vero Beach Mermaid, it was about the performance.

No filters. No staging. Just an unfiltered evening view straight from a condo balcony at Quatro Vista Resort. 🌅✨
On July 5th, nature decided to put on an absolute masterclass. As the Caribbean Sea waves rolled onto our beachfront and the sun began to dip, this massive, vibrant double rainbow arched perfectly over the Pico Bonito Mountains across the water. 🌈🌈
A fun little fact for the fellow nerds out there:
In a double rainbow, the colors of the secondary bow are actually completely reversed (violet is on the outside, red is on the inside). It happens because the light reflects twice inside the raindrops, essentially flipping reality upside down for a split second. It’s nature’s way of doing a dramatic backflip just to show off over the Bay Islands.
We half expected a unicorn to stroll across the sand just to complete the look, but we settled for the pure, unedited magic instead. 🦄
When we say "Heaven is on Earth," we aren't just using a tagline—we are describing the view our guests get to wind down to. 🌎🌊

Who remembers where they were for the Bicentennial in 1976?✨

It feels like just yesterday our USA was draped in red, white, and blue for the big 200th anniversary. Now, 50 years later, we are marking an incredible milestone: America’s 250th. 🎆

While the years fly by, the things that matter most haven’t changed—spending time with family, appreciating our shared history, and taking a moment to look out at a beautiful, wide-open horizon.

We’re celebrating both the memories of the past and the beauty of the present today at Quatro Vista. Happy 4th of July, USA! 🌊❤️
