I love a good book and even a not so good book. But it has to be a real book, I just don't get the same joy from a tablet.
Hot afternoons are made for laying on a shady veranda with a cold drink and some reading material (between siesta naps). This was May 2026's selection.

Migrating birds often stop for a few days rest at Treasure Beach, September is especially busy.
However, these little guys are here most of the year (they spend July - September in the Arctic). Whenever the tide is low they go to work searching for food, fittingly they're called Ruddy Turnstones, a member of the Sandpiper family.
