❤️ Meet Nina, a very special part of Molonta’s story.

At Molonta, heritage is not something we keep only in old photographs, stone walls or stories passed down through generations.

It is something we try to keep alive.

For centuries, donkeys were part of everyday life across the Mediterranean. Patient, gentle and remarkably resilient, they worked alongside families, carried harvests from the fields, walked the narrow paths between vineyards and olive groves, and quietly shared the rhythm of rural life.

They were never simply animals.
They were companions. Helpers. Part of the family.

Our Nina does not have to carry anything today.

She simply lives here, among the olive trees, carob trees and old stone walls of Molonta, loved, spoiled and very much part of our family.

And perhaps that is exactly where her beauty lies.

She reminds us that preserving heritage is not only about restoring an old house or protecting the land. It is also about preserving a way of life, a connection with nature, and respect for the animals that once shared this land with the generations before us.

Luxury, for us, has never been about adding more.

Sometimes it is about keeping what was always here.

Nina is one small, beautiful part of that philosophy.

Generations Change. Roots Remain.
Every September, Molonta returns to its roots.
Figs, grapes, carob and olives are gathered from the same land that has sustained generations of our family. These traditions were not created for our guests, they are simply part of who we are.
Perhaps that is the true meaning of heritage: to care for what was here before us, and leave it worthy of those who come after.
