One of the traditional songs about Omišalj goes:
“Nad Omišalj kad padne mrak,
tad poljubac je vrlo lak
i svako srce kuca tike tike tike
tike tike tike tak.”
Which translates into:
“When night falls over Omišalj,
a kiss comes easy,
and every heart goes tick tock tick,

Today we take you to a really magical place - only 4 km away from Apartments Filumena Omišalj: FULFINUM-MIRINE 🤩

Fulfinum was an old Roman settlement dating back into the 1st century just a few kilometres from the town of Omišalj.🏺
There you can see the ruins of the late antiquity villa with private thermae and, according to some sources, the largest early Christian basilica in the Mediterranean, dating back to the 5th century, is also situated in the same bay.
As it is an old Roman port, make sure to take a swimsuit because it is such a peaceful place to relax and dive in! 🌊
And last but not least, this place offers a home for many magical events - which we are always happy to recommend to our guests! 🌟

COME! WE WILL TAKE YOU TO THE BEACH(ES) 🏖️
Here is the ultimate guide to the best beaches of Omišalj, so buckle up and swipe 👉
Beaches are just a short walk away from the apartment as you can see in this map:
- beach Jadran: 3 min walk
- beach Večja: 4 min walk
- beach Učka: 9 mins walk (also reachable by car)
- beach Pesja: 17 mins walk (also reachable by car)

BEACH JADRAN - only 3 minutes walk away with a lot of entertainment for children!
Beach that has it all: concrete for sunbathing, sand, natural shadow under the olive trees, playground, restaurans, bar, shops, basketball, minigolf… you name it!

BEACH VEČJA - 4 mins walk away next to the tennis courts that you can rent!
Gravel beach with a shower and a lot of shade especialy during the morning! There is also a fast food on the beach to grab a bite or a drink.

BEACH UČKA - only 9 mins walk away, next to the historical Hotel Učka has concrete sides and a sandy part - so you can pick according to your preserences!
It also has a lot of natural shade, showers, a bar and a parking lot close by!

BEACH PESJA - 17 mins of enjoyable walk away from the house - but also with parking spaces next to the beach!
This is a big gravel beach with blue flag. It has: a lot of natural shade, showers, rastaurant&bar close by, toilets, voleyball court…

And the less accessible, hidden, lonely beaches will be revealed to those who book 🤫
