…and, just like that, the jungle wilderness is gone. 🍁🍂

With special thanks to Dejan and his John Deere tractor, the whole property was mulched in just under 4 hours (record time!)

He did a great job tackling the overgrowth, right on schedule for the Ministry Of Agriculture “mowing deadline” (15 September: today!) 😊

A final walk through our “biodiversity ecosystem” before it all gets mulched for the winter… the jungle grasslands are teeming with insects and critters. I’m really glad we decided not to mow it this spring / summer, and let it all grow wild… the wildlife has certainly flourished as a result… more bugs = more birds 😊

A rainy Friday afternoon; another 10m3 of gravel, another pallet of cement, another baker’s dozen of 6m-long rods of rebar steel.

This should hopefully be enough material to finish filling the flood wall with concrete, and some extra for installing the dogs’ field enclosure, which will hopefully all be finished before winter… 🤞
