There comes a point where you don’t actually need another blog post, another forum thread, or another “pros and cons” list. You already know you want some version of this life, you’re just scared to make a move without a guarantee.

You just need to get clear on:
What you actually want your life to look like

What you could realistically afford

Who could help you navigate the legal + logistical side so you’re not doing it alone

If you’re hovering at that 80% and living in your tabs instead of your life, it might be time to move from “gathering information” to “making a plan.”

If you want help with that early part, understanding the real costs, the process for foreigners, and what this could look like for your family, comment or DM me PLAN and I’ll send you my free guide to buying property in Croatia as a non‑EU buyer.

POV: you choose Croatia over Portugal… and it ends up being the best “plot twist”

Nothing against Portugal at all, but when I started actually comparing what I wanted day to day, sea, safety, family‑friendly, walkable cities, and a place I could realistically buy as a non‑EU citizen, Croatia kept winning.

I came for the summer‑by‑the‑sea fantasy, stayed for the slower rhythm of life, and then built a business helping other foreigners buy here too. Between the digital nomad options, the coastal cities like Split, and the fact that Americans and many non‑EU citizens can legally buy property, it ended up being a much better fit for me than the “default” choice everyone talks about.

If Croatia has been your “wait, what if we chose this instead?” country, you’re not alone, and you’re not crazy for looking beyond the obvious option.

If you’re curious about exploring what it would look like to actually buy here as a foreigner, costs, steps, approvals and all, comment GUIDE and I’ll send you my free breakdown so you can make that comparison with real information, not just vibes.

You bring the late‑night Croatia daydreams, I bring the “let’s actually make this happen” part.

When I bought my first place here, I was exactly where you are: saving listings, doubting myself, and trying to make sense of a system that doesn’t have Zillow, doesn’t work like the U.S., and definitely wasn’t explained in one neat website.

Now this is literally what I do.

You come in with your version of the dream—vacation home, part‑time, or full move—and I help you turn it into an actual plan:

What’s realistic for your budget and lifestyle

Where in Croatia makes sense for your family

How the buying process works for non‑EU citizens, step by step

Who you need on your side so you’re not guessing your way through lawyers, banks, and approvals

Your dream + my expertise really can equal “you own property in Croatia now,” and it doesn’t have to be chaotic or confusing to get there.

If you’re ready to move past vibes and into an actual plan, comment or DM me GOALS and I’ll send you my free guide that walks through the costs, process, and next steps for foreign buyers.

It’s funny, because when I first started daydreaming about Croatia, I pictured the big things: the sea, the sunsets, the dramatic “I moved to Europe” storyline.

But what I’ve fallen in love with most are the small, almost boring details.

Laundry hanging in the sun.
Neighbors chatting in the street.
Windows open, kids’ voices drifting up from outside.
Slow walks in the evening when the heat finally lets go.

These are the little anchors that make summer here feel less like a vacation and more like a life I actually live.

If you’ve ever looked at photos of Croatia and thought “I could see myself there,” just know that feeling doesn’t have to stay hypothetical.

I still have very professional thoughts every day, like:
“Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh.”

I moved here thinking I’d eventually “get used to it,” but I’m still not over the sea, the light, the old stone streets, the fact that this is where I buy groceries and answer emails now.

Even on the most normal of days with school runs, client calls, and errands, there’s usually at least one moment where I look around and think, “I really did this. We really live here.”

If you’ve been wondering whether your life could ever look like this in a real, non‑vacation way… that little “oh my gosh” voice in your head is worth listening to.

There was a time in my life when my calendar was full but my actual life felt… kind of empty.

Now some of my favorite days look like this and nothing else: a latte, a little corner in Split, and enough space in my brain to actually hear myself think.

It’s not that everything is perfectly figured out or that moving to Croatia made me immune to real-life stress. It’s just that the pace is different here, and I finally gave myself permission to want more of this and less of the constant rush.

If you’ve ever caught yourself daydreaming about a slower version of your own life somewhere like this, you’re definitely not the only one.
