Welcoming the First Day of OKTOBERFEST!

But wait, we're still in September?
Here are some information and fun facts about OKTOBERFEST:

1. This 211-year-old tradition wasn’t originally a beer festival. It was held to honor the marriage of Prince Ludwig in 1810. All the citizens of Munich were invited to the festivities to celebrate the royal event.

2. The first OKTOBERFEST was held only during the first week of October. Along the years, the starting date was changed to September because the weather is warmer and more pleasing — making visitors stay even longer and enjoy the beer and festival throughout the night.

3. Albert Einstein once worked as an OKTOBERFEST electrician and helped set up one of the beer tents in 1896.
