We are preparing design options for a client of ours who wants to extend and existing Cottage building (keeping the vacant homes grant), and transform the old cottage into a new modern home - we are proposing to reroof and re purpose the shape of the old cottage - would you think a front porch off the kitchen would be better than off the hallway? We are debating this at the moment internally here with our design office staff in Carrick on Shannon.

Detailing spaces for our clients best life. This new build was an Energy Efficient Timber Frame, erected as a Closed Panel Kit, with air tightness membrane and a service void. The roof truss is pre fabricated truss, clad in oak with feature lighting.
