It’s one of those perfect days today! A day to get the togs and the suncream on, pack some lunch, stroll down the lane and have Sandscove all to yourself! You might even spot the fins of the basking sharks today if you’re lucky!

The Swallows have returned! The first sighting, when they swoop into our carport and check out their old nests is an exciting day! For me it is the definitive end of winter and a sign of the summer season about to start. What absolutely amazing little birds they are- they have no idea of the joy they bring us!

With international travel literally up in the air at the moment you might be looking to amend your plans and perhaps be considering . The good news is that we have some availability still for Easter weekend and a few slots left for the summer holidays.

Our woodland floor is now coming into bloom, so our Easter guests will be enjoying the bluebells and other woodland flowers next weekend.

We are also pleased to report for our younger guests that a significant number of new fairy doors have appeared. We wonder if they will be able to find them all?

The West Cork Rally is once again upon us! We wish our guests Mark Dolphin & Pa O'Mahony and their teams all the best for a successful and safe event (pics from today's Ardfield 1 stage).



If you are a team thinking of competing in the 2027 event and need accommodation, just drop us a DM and we can pencil you in. We can host up to 4 teams.

As a reminder to entrants, is on the accommodation list. We have two teams already booked to stay with us for 2026 and have room for two further teams.

Accommodation package available from the Wednesday through to Monday morning.

We have plenty of offroad parking for team's support vehicles.
