Looking forward to seeing you on our annual Charity Walk, Sunday Oct 4th at the Cavan Burren Interpretive Centre. Registration from 10.30, walk commences 11am. Hear about the wonderful archaeology of the area from the local Geo Park Guide. Walk will be approx 3 hours. Refreshments served.

The 54th Irish Hot Air Balloon Championships takes place from the 19th-25th September in
Lough Key Forest & Activity Park just across the border in Co Roscommon! 🎈 🎊

In 2026 the event will be celebrating its 54th year and it will take place as usual in the last week of September with flights planned morning (7am) and evening (5:00pm) for the week, weather permitting.

Balloons, Pilots and Crew from the US, England, Scotland, Wales, France, Germany and Ireland will participate in a week of challenges to find who will be declared the Champions. Find out more here: https://www.ballooningchampionships.ie/

An Informative talk on Creavelea Abbey Domhair by Dr. Kieran O' Conor - Creevelea Abbey, just outside Dromahaire, Co. Leitrim, was founded as a Franciscan Friary in 1508 under O'Rourke patronage. This talk will concentrate on elements of its architecture and history.
