One of the best things about Retro Routes isn’t just the clothes, the shops or the stories of Dublin.

It’s the people you meet along the way.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of showing Carolyn Moss around Dublin. Carolyn is a former Fashion Director at Macy’s in New York, and in her own words;
"Terrific. It was a personalized experience. This catered to my interests in fashion and a great experience for those who are interested in the fashion industry."

And that’s what I love about Retro Routes.

One of the best pieces of "advice" I ever heard was that small tour groups are the worst because you actually have to get to know your guests.

I remember thinking... isn't that the whole point?

For me, that's my favourite part of the Retro Routes Experience.

Before we even step into a shop, I want to know you. Are you into goth fashion? Old Hollywood glamour? Vintage sportswear? Vinyl? Mid-century homeware? Handmade Irish art? Or are you just looking for something that feels uniquely you?

I love this aspect of the tour and the past few reviews have reflected that I gotten rarely good at a bit of tailoring.

That's because every guest is different, and I love helping people discover that one shop where their eyes light up and they say, "This is exactly what I've been looking for."

If there's one thing I hope people remember after a tour, it's this:

Tell Ciaran what you're looking for... and he'll probably know exactly where to find it.
