Today, we hosted our national Simon Week 2026 conference.

Our speakers and panelists explored the nuances of homelessness, solutions, and how Ireland could utilise the EU Presidency to end homelessness in Ireland and across Europe 🇪🇺

Today, staff from Simon Communities of Ireland and Simon Communities across the country gathered at Leinster House as part of our Simon Week 2026 campaign.

We engaged with TDs and Senators to highlight how homelessness is presenting in their constituencies and to discuss the actions needed to prevent and end homelessness across Ireland.

Today marks the start of Simon Week 2026

At the heart of this year's campaign is a simple but urgent message: Homeless & Alone, One Big Push 💛

Simon Communities of Ireland are highlighting single adults experiencing homelessness, the largest group experiencing homelessness in Ireland.

They account for well over three in five adults in emergency accommodation.

But before homelessness, these people are parents, workers, neighbours, friends and family.

They're people like John.
They're people like Lily.

Across Ireland adults facing homelessness alone have been excluded. Let's fix it.

We're proud to support Simon Week 2026.

This year, Simon Communities of Ireland is calling for ‘One Big Push’ to end single adult homelessness by 2030.

With more than 17,000 people currently experiencing homelessness across Ireland, Simon Week is an important opportunity to raise awareness, start conversations and highlight the urgent need for long-term solutions.

At Cash & Carry Kitchens, we understand just how much home means. That’s why we’re proud to support Simon Communities of Ireland and help amplify their call for meaningful and sustained action.

As part of Simon Week, Simon Communities of Ireland will host its national conference on Thursday, 24 September, hosted by former RTÉ newsreader Eileen Dunne.

For our debut episode, Ber is joined by Karen Feeney from Galway Simon Community and Eavanna Maloney from Dublin Simon Community to discuss the impact Simon services have on the lives of people experiencing homelessness across their communities 💛

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sitting down with guest speakers to explore different perspectives on homelessness in Ireland and the work being done to create lasting change 🏡
