Some time ago Donegal Daily ran a story on a woman inLondon who found a painting of the Homestead in Hornhead and was looking for the owners of the house and the artist who painted it well through Facebook we were contacted as the owners of the house and we made contact with Emma in Stanmore in London and we finally met today as she said she wanted us to have the painting and we will be giving a donation to the area as a thankyou to Emma.
The painting is beautiful and will be up on our wall when I get back from London. Only for Facebook and Donegal Daily and Moses we would not have known about the painting.
Emma’s generosity is amazing and she said her father had passed away and was from Dundalk and when she saw the painting in a second hand shop in Bushy Watford it reminded her of her father.
My husbands parents grew up in this house in Hornhead and now the hunt is on for the Artist!
