Waterproofing starts long before the finishing touches go in.

Our team recently installed JUTA UK GP® TITANBOND® and WP SAM on a new build with a two story basement, swimming pool and leisure facilities.

It’s the kind of space where keeping water under control matters on both sides of the structure: groundwater outside and a high moisture environment inside.

JUTA GP® TITANBOND® is a pre-applied fully bonded waterproofing membrane with a geotextile heavy duty polypropylene membrane used for Radon / Gas / Waterproofing protection especially where harmful gases are anticipated. As part of waterproofing TYPE A (BS8102 : 2009) it forms a barrier against Water and harmful Radon, Methane and Carbon Dioxide gases from entering the basement.

Alongside the WP SAM installation, careful attention to joints, changes in level and other details is essential to the overall waterproofing design.

Once a basement is complete, much of this work disappears from view.

Getting it right at this stage helps protect the swimming pool and leisure spaces that will sit within it for years to come.

🏆 September Safety Award 🏆

Congratulations to our warehouse operative Wieslaw (Wesley), who received a €100 voucher for identifying and reporting a serious fire and electrical hazard involving a 110V cable reel returned to site.

The damaged reel showed signs of significant overheating, including melted and blackened insulation and exposed copper strands, presenting both a fire and electric shock risk.

Our Online Safety Suggestion Box allows all team members to highlight safety concerns within the company and report them in confidence. This initiative was introduced by our Health and Safety Officer, Christian Muraru CMIOSH / SAFEPASS TUTOR, who is also pictured here with Wesley.

This is a great example of how important it is for every member of the RASCOR team to work together, speak up and play their part in keeping our workplaces safe.

Installation underway with the JUTA UK GP®1 radon membrane expertly placed by Edi and his team, Rony and Dito. 👏

GP®1 is a high-performance, gas-resistant damp-proof membrane designed to help protect buildings against radon, methane, carbon dioxide, other ground gases and moisture.

Installing the membrane before the concrete slab is poured creates a continuous protective barrier beneath the structure. Careful installation is essential - particularly at overlaps, joints, corners and service penetrations to maintain the integrity of the system and provide long-term protection for the building and its occupants.

Excellent attention to detail from the team on this installation.

Celebrating Two Well-Deserved Promotions at Rascor Waterproofing UK & Ireland

As we continue to grow across the UK, Ireland and Europe, we are delighted to announce two important appointments within our senior leadership team.

Aparna Sood has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer for RASCOR UK, Ireland and wider European operations.

In her new role, Aparna will oversee operational strategy across these regions, helping to align our teams, strengthen internal processes and support the continued growth of the business. She will play a central role in ensuring that RASCOR maintains the same high standards of service, quality and collaboration as our operations expand into new markets.

Tommy-lee Preater CSSW SMSTS has been promoted to Head of Contracting Operations in the UK.

Tommy will take responsibility for overseeing RASCOR’s UK contracting activities, working closely with our project teams to ensure the safe, efficient and successful delivery of our waterproofing projects. His role will include supporting site operations, maintaining quality standards, strengthening client relationships and helping our contracting teams deliver consistently across an expanding UK project portfolio.
