Heating systems need to be checked and serviced on a regular basis to ensure they run well and are efficient. The water in your heating system unless treated will overtime get contaminated and form into sludge. Radiator sludge is a mix of dirt and rust. This builds up over time and gathers at the bottom of your radiators. The sludge stops hot water flowing through your system properly. This creates cold areas on your radiator. Other areas of the radiator are unaffected by the sludge and will heat up as normal. In order to get rid of the sludge it will be necessary to have your entire system power flushed.
