What was once a vision for Ballygrennan is now becoming a reality.

The new Cancer Treatment Facility is nearing completion, while construction of 115 new homes is well underway. Together, these developments represent a significant investment in the north side of Limerick City and will make a lasting contribution to the local community and wider region.

Reaching this point has been a collective effort. Today, we had the opportunity to welcome representatives from Limerick City and County Council, Cluid, Aedifica and most importantly, members of the local community who have been instrumental in driving change and investment in the area.

It was an opportunity not only to showcase the progress being made, but to recognise the important role so many people have played in making it possible.

On behalf of the Whitebox team, a sincere thank you to everyone who has contributed to the journey so far. It was a pleasure to welcome you on site and share first-hand what we have achieved together and what is now taking shape for Ballygrennan. Huge thanks to David Flynn for facilitating the site visit.

We’re thrilled to have been shortlisted for Business of the Year (up to 20 employees in the South East) at the Waterford Business Awards 2026. 🎉

It’s a fantastic recognition for the Whitebox team and for the work we’re delivering across Waterford and the wider South East.

We’re proud to be part of Waterford’s business community and delighted to be shortlisted alongside European Regulatory Affairs and Shona.

A big thank you to our team, partners and everyone who has been part of the Whitebox journey so far.

We’re looking forward to the next stage of judging and to celebrating with all of the finalists in November.

Hoping to make Clover Lawn your new home? 🏡

Applications for homes at Clover Lawn, Summerfields, open on Monday 5 October.

The homes will be available through the Starter Home Purchase Scheme, previously known as the Local Authority Affordable Purchase Scheme.

With strong interest expected, it’s a good idea to get your paperwork ready now.

Applicants may need documents such as proof of income, identity, address, PPSN, savings/deposit, first-time buyer status, Help to Buy eligibility where applicable, and Mortgage Approval in Principle. Waterford City & County Council advises that complete applications and their submission time are relevant to how eligible applications are prioritised.

This crane has dominated the Limerick skyline for some time. Now the project beneath it is really taking shape.

Great to see the progress at Speakers Corner, where 36 new apartments are now at roof level.

Delivered in partnership with Clúid Housing, the development will provide a mix of social, right-sizing and Cost Rental homes in the heart of Limerick.

Building on such a tight city-centre site takes careful planning and coordination, and it’s great to see that progress reflected on site.

A big thank you to CField and the wider project team for their continued work and collaboration.

Another important step towards delivering 36 much-needed new homes in Limerick City.

Development Spotlight: Clover Lawn, Summerfields 🏡

Our Managing Director, Niall Harrington, recently joined Regina from Liberty Blue at the Clover Lawn showhouse to talk about the development, the team behind it and what these new homes can offer buyers in Waterford.

For Niall, the most important part is what these homes mean for the people buying them — having their own front door, putting down roots in Waterford and becoming part of a new community.

He also talks about the wider vision for Summerfields, the importance of connectivity, and the supports available to eligible buyers looking to take that first step into home ownership.

Ireland’s BER rating system has changed.

Since May 24th familiar sub-ratings such as A1, A2 and A3 have been replaced by a simplified A–G scale, which includes a new A0 category for the highest-performing buildings.
