On behalf of The Land Development Agency (LDA), Property Management Ireland is delighted to present The Mills.
A new Cost Rental development located in Co. Limerick, just off the Dublin Road in Castletroy. It is approximately six kilometres from Limerick City Centre and is well-served by public transport, with frequent bus services to the city centre and the University of Limerick. Additionally, a vast range of amenities is available nearby, such as Lidl and Castletroy Town Centre, which is just a 10-minute walk from the development.

The LDA is offering apartments for rent under this Cost Rental application process, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria detailed on their website https://lda.ie/. Cost Rental is a new housing tenure that was created under the Affordable Housing Act 2021. The rent on the homes is based on the cost of building, managing, and maintaining the homes.
Affordability is a key criterion and is measured as rent being no more than 35% of your Net Income. To be eligible for consideration for Cost Rental

Housing, applicants must meet the following criteria:

· Your net household income is below €59,000 per annum.
· You do not own a property in Ireland or elsewhere.
· Applicants must be permanent residents and tax domicile in Ireland.
· You are not in receipt of any social housing supports (including Rent Supplement or HAP).
· Your household size matches the size of the property advertised (All members of the household must be living in Ireland at time of applying).
· You can afford to pay the cost rent for the home. Please see FAQs below for further information.
· Your household has only entered one application for a specific cost rental property.
The Mills is offering the following apartments to rent:
· One-bed apartment €990 per calendar month
· Two-bed apartment €1,235 per calendar month
The apartments are provided unfurnished with:
· Fully fitted kitchen and white goods.
· Integrated wardrobes in double rooms.
· Bathroom fittings.
· Blinds and flooring throughout.
· Highly efficient A rated apartments.
· Centralised heating system.

Registration for The Mills opens at 12 noon on Tuesday 14th January 2025 and closes at 12 noon on Tuesday 21st January 2025.

The Square, The Mills, Castletroy - The First Cost Rental Delivered by The Land Development Agency (LDA) outside of Dublin with Monthly Rents less than €1,000

PMI are thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of a new development by The Land Development Agency (LDA) in Castletroy, Limerick, the first LDA cost rental scheme to be delivered outside of Dublin. This development will feature 81 modern one and two-bedroom apartments and is set to open for applications in January 2025.

What is Cost Rental?

Cost Rental is an initiative under the Affordable Housing Act 2021 that offers secure, long-term rental homes at below-market rates for renters who need support accessing the private rental market but do not qualify for social housing.
Affordable Rents: Typically, at least 25% below market rates.
Target Group: Renters in need of affordable housing options.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for these cost rental homes:
Net Household Income: Must be below €59,000 per year.
Rent-to-Income Ratio: Monthly rent should not exceed 35% of your net income.
Additional Requirements: Applicants must meet eligibility criteria under the Affordable Housing Act 2021
