BIG NEWS ON HOME ENERGY GRANTS!

The Government and Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland have announced major increases to SEAI grants, making it more affordable to upgrade your home from February and March 2026.

Here is what’s changing:

From 3 February 2026
• Higher grants for attic and cavity wall insulation
• Heat pump grants increasing to up to €12,500
• A new high temperature heat pump pilot

From 4 March 2026
• New grants for windows and doors
• Higher insulation grants for first-time buyers
• Higher grants for people receiving certain welfare payments
• Easier qualification for heat pumps under the One Stop Shop scheme

In simple terms, more support is now available and some of the previous barriers are being removed.

If you were thinking about insulating, changing windows, or installing a heat pump but felt the numbers didn’t quite stack up before, it may be worth revisiting.

📣 NEW SEAI Grants Announced Today! 🇮🇪✨

Big news for homeowners — the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) has unveiled a brand new suite of energy upgrade grants under the National Residential Retrofit Plan 2026! 🔧🏠💡 

✅ New & expanded grant supports available now:
➡️ New grant to upgrade windows & doors to improve insulation.
➡️ Higher grant amounts across the board — making energy upgrades more affordable.
➡️ Expanded eligibility including first-time buyers & supports for those on social welfare.
➡️ More help for older homeowners & communities.
➡️ Grants aim to make homes warmer, cheaper to heat & more energy efficient. 

⚡ These changes build on record uptake of SEAI supports, with tens of thousands of Irish homes already benefiting from energy upgrades and renewable tech.

We are delighted to share that our school has been granted funding for new flooring to the value of €59581.60 under the Summer Works Scheme — a project that will make a real difference to the safety, comfort, and learning environment of our pupils.

This would not have been possible without the generous support and expertise of local business people and engineers who offered guidance, advice, and encouragement throughout the application process.
